Group Facilitator Certification

The training consists of 20 hours of engaging and intensive education to lead support groups with empathy, understanding and empowerment. You will learn valuable skills to be a unique facilitator and lead your members into process of healing, growth and transformation.

The process is more than support. The purpose is to coach the participants into becoming the unique persons they are. It helps them to step into growth.

Didactic:

» This is a 20-hour ZOOM training with a format that is fully practicum.

» Learn to lead your group move from loss to growth with the 11 Principles of Transformation®.

» Role play will be a vital aspect of this training.

» Learn the necessary skills to be a good listener and effective facilitator.

» It will expand the skills acquired in the Level I workshop, such as active listening, grief dimensions and expressions, empowerment, and transformation.

» Class size is limited to 12 people.

What’s Included:

» Manual: The 11 Principles of Transformation—Facilitator of Circles of Meaning and Transformation®

» This training manual will be provided with ideas on how to form support groups, elicit participation, and establish common and individual objectives.

» Upon successful completion of this training, certification will be provided by Ligia M. Houben, My Meaningful Life, LLC.

» You will be given a license (which will be signed in an agreement) to become a facilitator of support groups (you choose your niche) applying the 11 Principles of Transformation®.

Prerequisite:

The 11 Principles of Transformation®: Level I (online at your own pace, you’ll receive a certification of completion).

The participant is expected to have processed their own loss or transition through the exercises and activities of the introductory level workshop. They will have a thorough understanding of the philosophy of this system of transformation through group activities.

Additional Details:

Ligia M. Houben has a vast experience in training people to become group facilitators. For 9 years, she trained hundreds of people to become bereavement support group facilitators for Congregational Health, the Pastoral Care Division at Baptist Hospital.

In this virtual training the participants will gain knowledge on how to facilitate support/transformational groups applying The 11 Principles of Transformation®.
